📋 Terms & Conditions
By using Roopalia.com (the "Website"), you agree to the terms below. Please read them before you use the site or its chat assistant.
1. What this website is
Roopalia.com is an independent publication for Indian women, written in both Hindi and English. It publishes:
- Articles on Indian festivals, vrats, vrat kathas, pujas, wedding customs and family traditions
- Practical guides on home remedies for hair and skin
- Articles on the rites of family life — childhood sanskars, wedding customs and the days of mourning — and guides for Indian families living outside India
- Sakhi AI, a chat assistant that answers reader questions in Hindi and English
The Website is published by Durva AI Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi, with its registered office in Rajasthan, India.
2. Information only — not professional advice
Everything on this Website is published for educational purposes and general information. It is not medical advice, not legal advice, and not a religious ruling.
- Health: our articles describe vrats that involve fasting, and remedies for skin and hair. Fasting does not suit everyone. Please consult a doctor before fasting if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, kidney or heart conditions.
- Ritual and dates: festival dates, tithis, muhurat and puja vidhi vary by region, community and family. Please follow your own family's practice and your local panchang. What we publish is a starting point, not an authority.
The full position is set out on our Disclaimer page, and you should read it as part of these terms.
3. Sakhi AI
- Sakhi AI answers using artificial intelligence. Its replies are for general information for educational purposes only and are not always accurate
- It cannot diagnose any medical or skin condition, and cannot replace a doctor, a dermatologist or a family priest
- Any date, muhurat or ritual detail it gives should be checked against a panchang before you act on it
- Sakhi AI is currently free, with a limited number of questions each day. A paid plan may be offered in future; if it is, its price and terms will be shown clearly before you pay
- Abusive messages, spam or misuse of the assistant may result in restricted access
4. Accounts and login
- Login uses a mobile number with an OTP
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure
- Never share your OTP with anyone — we will never ask you for it
- One account per phone number
- You may delete your account and your chat history at any time. See our Privacy Policy
5. Payments
No paid plan is offered at present. If one is introduced in future, payment will be handled by our payment gateway partner. We do not store your card or bank details. Any refund request should be sent to contact@roopalia.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
6. Our content
The articles, translations, illustrations and page designs on this Website belong to Roopalia.com and Durva AI Private Limited. You may quote a short passage with a clear link back to the page. Copying an article, translating it, or republishing it — in whole or in substantial part, on a website, in an app, in a video or in print — is not permitted without our written consent.
Vrat kathas, mantras, scriptural verses and traditional customs are the shared inheritance of the tradition and belong to nobody. Our particular retelling, wording, translation and arrangement of them, however, is our work.
All illustrations on the site are AI-generated and carry the Roopalia.com watermark. Please do not remove the watermark or reuse them elsewhere.
7. Advertising
Roopalia carries no affiliate links and no shopping links. Where display advertising runs, it is served by an advertising network; we do not choose what appears and an advertisement is not a recommendation from us. Full details are in our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
8. Other websites
We link to other sites where it helps the reader. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
9. Respect for the subject matter
We write about religious tradition with care, and we ask readers to comment and correspond in the same spirit. If you believe we have got something wrong — a date, a katha, a ritual detail — please write to us. We correct errors and say what changed.
10. Limitation of liability
Roopalia.com and Durva AI Private Limited are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this Website, its articles, or Sakhi AI. You use the information here at your own discretion.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect once published on this page, and continued use of the Website means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from the use of this Website is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Rajasthan, India.
13. Contact
For any question about these terms, write to contact@roopalia.com.
